Conference reading!

Shelves of books

This weekend, I head off for five days in the frozen north, aka Minneapolis, for the Bethlehem Pastor’s Conference. After that, I’m on the way to Atlanta for a few days to be at the G3 Conference.

That is as intense as it sounds.

One of the bonuses of trips like this is that I have a fair bit of reading time available to me. While I’m out, I’m bringing a small handful of books to keep me occupied on each plane. Here’s what will be joining me:

Eats Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss. I’ve been reading this since Christmas, and it’s fabulous, informative and very funny. I anticipate finishing this on the way to Minneapolis (I’ve got 70-ish pages to finish, so it’s possible).

Supernatural Power for Everyday People by Jared C. Wilson. Jared’s books are always worth reading.

The Prayer That Turns the World Upside Down by R. Albert Mohler Jr. This one is a review read (legit). Should be fun!

Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders. This is a terrific leadership book that I’ve read in the past. I’m working through it again now along with a few colleagues. I’m looking forward to learning from everyone’s insights as much as I do from the book itself.

How much I get through, I can’t say. But it’s all going to be a great way to use some of this time well.
